Director of Marketing and Advertising

Location - Vancouver preferred or Pacific Northwest As Director of Marketing and Advertising, you will be responsible for leading the strategy and overseeing the execution of the marketing and advertising for all our games. You will also be responsible for managing internal marketing manager(s) and external marketing partners to help them grow and achieve the best results for our partners. Our Marketing and Advertising team is dedicated to not only creating awareness and demand for games but is also responsible for in-game communication (CRM) to develop engaged users. We believe the most important thing we can do is to grow the audience of engaged users for the games we represent, not simply focus on driving installs at a low CPI. We use the Screenzilla Player First Cycle (as outlined on our website) planning process which helps remove the silos and look holistically at the player.

What you’ll achieve as the Director, Marketing & Advertising at Screenzilla:

  • Manage overall vision, strategy and operations of Screenzilla Marketing and Advertising
  • Develop the strategies and budget recommendations for new games in soft launch, global launch, and in developing ongoing advertising programs
  • Develop and implement CRM programs to increase engagement and retention from current users
  • Oversee the creative strategy and development process for all advertising and marketing materials
  • Provide leadership and training to current and future team members
  • Using data to understand the effectiveness of the marketing programs and how to systematically improve performance.
  • Work cross-functionally with the Player Experience/Social Media, Game Design, and Analytics team to develop holistic communication strategies.
  • Provide oversight of the P&L of the department and make sure goals are achieved
  • Work with SZ Managing Director to present to potential new partners for Player Experience Services
  • Provide quarterly goal setting and ongoing feedback to the PX team

What you’ll bring to our team:

  • Strategic marketing and advertising experience on a mobile game or application with +1MM monthly Active Users.
  • 2+ Years People Leadership Experience – preferably in tech/gaming industry
  • Experience developing and executing mobile CRM programs
  • Experience working directly with mobile CRM tools. (DeltaDNA a plus)
  • Experience in developing and execution of UA programs with budgets of over $1m a month
  • Experience and understanding of UA attribution tools (Appsflyer a plus)
  • Experience running SQL  queries and developing dashboards in tools like Tableau/PowerBI
  • Relationships and experience with Facebook, IronSource, Unity, and other mobile video ad networks
  • Programmatic media buying experience is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of mobile devices and games preferred
  • Experience in creating new systems and processes to increase efficiencies and effectiveness
